standards Questions

I am interested in others' experience using Mathematica for machine learning online course curricula. Let me first say that I have been programming with MMA for almost 10 years now (out of the 40 I have been programming total!). I love the aesthetics and language structure.

I am putting together a bioinformatics course for graduate students in biological sciences, with an emphasis on rigor and reproducibility, but also with sections on high dimensional data analysis, network science, and an introduction to machine learning concepts. I would love to do this with MMA notebooks for course notes, etc.

I would be interested in other's experience putting together course materials in bioinformatics and machine learning with MMA, and their reception among colleagues and students.

My questions are:

1) Have others done this, and would they be willing to share examples of their syllabi?

2) Seems like the future of ML (at least for now) is heavily Python weighted; is there any role for MMA here? I hope so, but am concerned.

If this is not the appropriate forum for this, please suggest where I should post.

Thanks!

Tools like JIRA, Service Now for Incident management, I'm looking for a software platform that will keep track of all related documentation, test plans, user sign offs etc... But what I have not been able to find and is critical for me is a Parent - Child, Child - Child relationship of all changes.

Such as:

CR12345 - is the parent record

  CR12345A - is a child record to CR12345

     CR12345A1 - is a child record of CR12345A

CR12345B is a child record to CR12345

Has anyone seen software that can support this?

I am looking to established a good CM Baseline, and I need some reference material that walks me through successfully establishing and maintaining a good CM Baseline

Hello Everyone,

I'd like to understand how companies using SVN, TFS, Git, GitHub perform backing out production deployments from two perspectives, your re-deployment method but more importantly, how are you indicating in your respective repo that if code was rolled back, what are you doing internally with your SCM tool to force a message to developers that code was backed out.

Thanks

Paul Perry

I would like to know of the latest releases of Rational DOORS, Rational Synergy and Rational Change is Windows Server 2012 compliant.

Thanks in advance,

Stephen

Please suggest technical certifications that will add more value to my profile. I have 8 years of SCM experience. Thanks.

How have others solved the resourcing justification for Build / Release engineers? Based on number of supported developers? number of tools? number of deployments? are there base line ratios or other industry standards based on specific products or supported platforms?

I have a development background, but haven't written code in over ten years. Our shop is primarily C++.

Wondering if such profile exist in industry where one SC Expert can startup a small Consultancy on SCM Setup in new companies or enhance existing SCM profiling using best practices. Something like freelancing kinda.

Would be great knowing such people & companies which started at small scale & how it turned up. If anything such exist in India? How is the response ?
