I am in the process of updating a CM Plan to include IUID requirements. Is there currently a CM Plan which has the necessary language?

Thank you for your response Bob.

I am referring to  Item Unique Identifcation. I am in a defense program, under the Department of the Army. This is a hardware program.

Indeed, the regulatory requirement is coming from ANSI/EIA-649B.

What I am looking for is a sample CM Plan that simply reflects how Item Unique Identifcation is stated and to what level of detai; is IUI shown in a CM Plan.

Howard,

could you elaborate a little more. I think that you are referring to Item Unique Identifcation which is commonly used in the MIL standards. Are you indeed in defense? Most people in that space are using IEEE 828 or EIA-649B and this would fall under configuration identication - but it may differ depending upon whether you are hardware or software focused. What industry are you in? What regulatory requirements do you have?

On top of these realities, German is additionally the authority language of two other huge European economies - in particular Switzerland and Austria. Working with organizations from these nations will be incredibly benefited by knowing the language.
