This paper describes how to handle uncertainties in project planning using the risk model, followed by running a simulation to generate predefined project outcomes–the most critical of all parameters. Several tools currently available are briefly explained, and examples are provided as to how they function (mostly @Risk from Palisade and Pertmaster tools).
