Differences among version control tools

As there are many version control tools available, I want to know the diffenrences among them and benifites of them.

there are many great tools on the market. A lot depends upon the features that you are looking for as well as the platform and technologies being used. If you are using C#/.net then you probably want to consider TFS. Lots of people use SVN and git is taking the industry by storm. ClearCase was the backbone of the CM industry for a long time, although IBM's Rational Team Concert (RTC) is rockin especially with cross platform users across Unix/Linux/Windows/Mainframe. I have always been a big fan of Accurev among many others... Again it all depends upon what you want to be doing.
