Can anyone list out the steps that are involved in performing the upgrade of ClearCase, CCRC and ClearQuest to the new version 7.1.1.5 from 7.0.x version on the linux server.
1. Backup your data, registry, VOB, license db etc
2. Uninstall your old CC install
Install
1. Install IBM Installation Manager (It comes with product). If you attempting to install on Unix that too remote box then make sure you have XServer access. Because newer version of Clearcase and other IBM product must be installed via IBM installation Mananger. This will start GUI mode. You can also install silent mode by preparing response file. (bit difficulty)
NOTE: If you want to setup multiple IBM products such as Clearcase/ClearQuest etc.. make sure you have same level of patch. Ex: Clearcase 7.1.1.5 and Clearquest 7.1.1.5

Bala, Thanks for your response.
I have upgraded my servers with newer version of CC/CQ a month ago. I could manage the upgrade alone and fixed all the issues pertained to upgrade while the upgraded happened.
