Just upgraded to Endevor 14. Have Endevor interfaced with RACF with appropriate values in the Name Equates table.

This item relates to the Primary Options Menu and Quick Edit. Name Equates table is coded as below:

L1=standard value=ABCD
L2=Environment
L3=PMENU
L4=PMENU Items

So RACF rule that is called for PMENU selections is: ABCD.Environment.PMENU.PMENU-Items

With the upgrade to Endevor 14, when a user uses Quick Edit, the RACF rule searched for is:

ABCD.$.PMENU.PMENU-Items

The developers works on the customers' systems (out of the office). We have installed Harweb on the server connected on the internet network (with the public ip) which work fine.

We have problem with agent connection.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

I have a user who is attempting to "rnmame" an element, but keeps getting an error that the element in question has checkouts, but the element is not checked out in that UCM project.

When i try to install CA SCM i get this error:

'ERROR: Pec installation failed with error code: -1073741819'

Can someone help me.

I am interested in starting a discussion on how to perform "SCM/CM Assessments".

I would like to develop a plan and set of activities that can help review and assess any existing processes and providing improvement suggestions to the cause. I am not aware of any documents that can give me this insight, and I am looking for a deep set of information to support this cause.

I just joined an organization where they didn't use CRs to track changes to baselined requirements. One of the developers asked if they could use 1 CR for multiple changes.

Originally, I told him 1 CR could contain multiple changes as long as they relate to one configuration item. I'm starting to rethink and may have them create 1 CR for each change.

Is the first option OK or should I make them create multiple CRs per modification?

I have a query that works as I expect only on some projects. (This is with Harvest r7.1 using an Oracle 10g database.):

I'm running windows 7 and i install CA SCM version 12.1 but every time i click on New Broker connection nothing happens. The window never pops up to enter the server information. I've tried using the menu ->connection -> New broker connection but same things happens. I've now reinstalled 4 times any ideas????

I need to perform a security health check and assessment for Endeavor and for Harvest.

I have a tool that checks out files and I want to check if there are any parallel versions before doing the actual check out in a workarea (e.g. d:\ccm_wa\test-1\test\dummy.txt) .

The idea I had was to run a query and check for is_hist_leaf().

But before that I need to get a unique "objectname" from the filename to feed to ccm query. I can get attributes from "ccm attr -s filename", but how can I get the unique objectname attribute from a filename?

Running "si.exe viewproject" in a shell I get the error message

"No MDI GUI window up!"

This happens only with parameter viewproject - other si command are working.

The System is:

MS Windows XP 2002 SP3
MKS Integrity Client 2009 4.10.0.9049, SP 006-01

Any Idea why this happens?
